Notes¶
West is a leading voice in making data literacy and critical reasoning about quantitative claims a core educational competency. His emphasis on the parallel between humanistic textual criticism and data criticism—questioning how numbers are framed and presented, not just whether they are accurate—represents a significant pedagogical shift in how misinformation defenses are conceptualized.
