Non-Consensual Intimate Imagery

Non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII), also known as revenge porn or deepfake pornography, refers to intimate images or videos of individuals—whether real (hacked/stolen), manipulated (edited), or fully synthetic (AI-generated)—that are shared online without the subject's consent. This practice is used for harassment, extortion, humiliation, and sexual abuse.

With advances in generative AI, "nudification" tools can automatically remove clothing from photos and generate synthetic intimate imagery, creating scalable means of abuse. The impact is gendered—women and children are disproportionately targeted.
